VCL Participates in the 2018 Virginia Beach Veteran’s Day Parade

Monday, 12 November 2018 twelve VCL members participated in the 2018 Virginia Beach Veteran’s Day Parade.

 Four members drove event dignitaries, they were:

  • 1957 Ford Sunliner Convertible driven by Charlie Dawson.

  • 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible driven by Bill Treadwell

  • 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air driven by John McKay

  • 1970 Pontiac GTO Convertible driven by Jason Patton

 

Eight members drove the parade route representing VCL. The procession queued up on Atlantic Avenue at 10th Street, and proceeded to the convention center where it concluded. Thanks to the cooler temps all vehicles made the route without any overheating. The group was led by Robert Lace in his BMY Military Troop Carrier, followed by the rest of the participants:

  • 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible driven by Todd Baitis and his wife Michelle

  • 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe driven by Walter Raffa

  • 1970 Chevrolet Nova SS driven by Don Cook

  • 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu driven by Thomas Starnes

  • 1969 Chevrolet Z/28 Camaro driven by Richard Goodboy
